The mall. In all his years on this earth, Nolan still didn't understand why he went; he hated shopping. Many factors went into this hatred. For one, he didn't really agree with people splurging on the things that really would end up getting thrown out. Another thing was all the spoiled people that seemed to be walking around; everyone buying things that they didn't need. Still Nolan seemed to have encountered a growth spurt of sorts, and the only clothes that fit him, were the ones that he bought big. He was sure his brother wouldn't be shopping anytime soon, Ethan lived with their father; and his father was pretty against shopping. Nolan however grew up with his mother, who was one of those people who loved shopping; growing up it was a Sunday event.
Still being exposed to something didn't mean you enjoyed it; it just took the edge off of it. Pulling open the door to the mall, Nolan took a deep breath; it was packed with muggles. Normally people like him, would be worrying too much on whether they fit in or not, but Nolan was used to it. His mom was a muggleborn, and due to their past mall adventures, he fit in like he was one of them. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, the dark haired boy walked through the groups of people in an attempt to find a store he wanted to shop in.
In truth, he had been so caught up lately with school work, and friends, that he hadn't gone to the mall in a while; and despite growing up very close to the area, he couldn't remember what stores here there. Curious as to what he would find, Nolan kept walking until something caught his attention. In the middle of the mall by the food court, someone was sitting on the ground with a guitar, performing. Music, it was the one thing that could take the boy to another world. He became so caught up in it, that he started to walk blindly, his attention all on the person with the guitar; until he walked into someone, and went down like a ton of bricks.
At first he wasn't sure if it was a person he walked into or a wall because of how he went down. Still he found himself muttering quick apologizes in hopes that it didn't look like he was talking to himself, "God, I'm sorry. Are you alright?" He was still getting to his feet as he spoke, so he hadn't yet seen who he walked into.

[o c c: said open, hope you don't mind.] :] Ainsley hated the crowds. That much is true, but she was still a girl, and shopping was a second nature to her. She loved shopping at muggle shops, though, she would never admit that to her father. Her mother and Ains would always go shopping together, no matter what the weather was. It was quite relaxing, if there wasn't much of a crowd.
Today, unfortunately, was not one of the mall's quiet days. There were people rushing about. In and out of stores, talking loudly, laughing, just buzzing around in general. Ains cringed as people brushed by her. People were never very courteous when in large groups. They were rude and obnoxious, only casting a smile at you as they pushed by, rarely muttering an apology.
Alas, it was always fun to get out of the school. Being cooped up there twenty-four-seven couldn't be good for one's health. Studying all the time, sure it was good for your academic life, but what of your social? This was the reason that Ains always wandered away from the school on the weekends. Not necessarily for fun, but to keep herself sane.
Shaking herself from her thoughts, she saw a gorgeous necklace in a window of a store, starring at it as she carried on walking, she had no idea that she was right in the path of some one that hadn't been paying much attention either. By the time she noticed, it was too late. She felt contact with some one before she was knocked back, a bit confused at first, she gently pushed herself off the ground.
She heard a man's apologies, turning her head to see the stranger stand up. She laughed, recognizing him from around the school. "It's alright, I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." She couldn't help but to laugh at the situation. They had run into each other quite roughly, and both ended up on the floor. She offered him a kind smile, showing him that there was no harm done. "How about you? You went down pretty hard there."

[ooc:nope, don't mind at all.]
Standing up, Nolan brushed himself off, taking his time before looking up. He was embarrassed to say the least, He hadn't been paying attention; and there was no doubt in his mind that he was blushing. There was a slight problem, a person could only look down for so long before it was considered rude; so he looked up. The girl he saw looked pretty familiar, and he was pretty sure that was because of school. It seemed that everyone he knew, was from school; not that it bothered him.
"No, I'm alright. Just pretty clumsy." he admitted sheepishly. Being as tall as he was, and as skinny, people usually wondered how the wind didn't blow him over; while others questioned how he was able to stand up on two feet. He could, he just ran into a few people now and then, but only when he wasn't paying attention like now. With a smile he shook his head, "No, really Its my fault though." He started, his right hand coming up to brush through his hair; a nervous habit he picked up as a kid, "I got all into that guitar playing, and well got lost in the clouds." He felt like a fool for saying it, how many people actually got lost in the sound of music?
Deciding to push the conversation in another direction, Nolan stuffed his hands in his pockets and smiled, "So, couldn't take being cooped up at school?" He asked her, hoping that she did go to his school and it wasn't one of those people that just seemed familiar, "At least, I'm hoping you go to my school and I'm not like.. making a totally out there assumption."

Ains let out a soft laugh when she saw a feint blush on his cheeks, looking down. The only reason she could tell he was blushing before he looked up was the fact that she was much shorter than him. Though, when he lifted his gaze from the floor, her smile brightened ten fold.
"No, I'm alright. Just pretty clumsy." Her smile turned into a laugh as she heard this. "Well, I'm glad you're not hurt. I couldn't deal with that on my conscious." She joked, her smile turning into a frown as he said that it was his fault. "It wasn't your fault, I assure you. I wasn't paying attention either." It upset Ains to see some one so willingly take the fall. Of course she would've done the same thing, but he beat her to the punch. She smiled as she heard his next sentence, she lifted her gaze from him and looked at the guitarist. "Fellow Music lover, eh?" She asked as she looked back up at him with a small smile.
"So, couldn't take being cooped up at school? At least, I'm hoping you go to my school and I'm not like.. making a totally out there assumption." Ains giggled as he said that. She shook her head twice before answering. "Yea, you were right. Same school." She paused before answering his first question. "I can't take it. After a while, it just gets old. Same routine, everyday, ugh. You know what I mean?" She asked, a shy smile placed on her lips.

[ooc: Killer sorry that it took me so long.]
Nolan couldn't help but laugh, he was a people person. When it came to being around people, being in front of people or anything of the sort; Nolan shined. Sure there were times when he got embarrassed, but the boy just rolled with it. He'd even take the chance to laugh at himself before he's pick up the pieces and move the conversation away from the incident; which is what he planned to do now. He learned to do it a while ago when he realized how stubborn he could be. He would take the blame for everything, and fight for it until it actually became a problem; which was something he didn't want to happen now.
"Definitely a music lover, or obsessive; I guess it all depends on how you look at it." he admitted with a smile. When it came down to Nolan and his music, he became almost a whole new person. If he was writing a song, or listening to a new one; it was hard to gain his attention until he was finished, "I can listen to mostly anything. Sometimes with rap, I run into the problem that everything sounds the same.. so I end up bored." Pushing his hand through his hair again he gave a small shrug, one that was slightly embarrassed from the happenings of earlier.
"I get what you're saying, being in the same place all the time, it gets old." He admitted. The one thing he didn't say was that he actually didn't mind it so much, sometimes it got bothersome, but most of the time he could handle it. Stuffing his hand in his pocket he held up a hand to the girl for a minute and moved over to the guy playing. Pulling out some money, he tossed it in his case, "From one musician to another." was all he said before he walked back to where the girl stood. "Sorry about that." He said softly, knowing that what he did might have looked weird. For a moment he stood there silent as his mind tried to think of something to say, until something hit him, "God, sorry.. I haven't even introduced myself.", the words rushed out of his mouth as soon as he thought of them, "Nolan Strauss, nice to meet you."

[o c c: gah, you're fine, i'm sorry it took ME so long.]Ainsley let out a soft sigh when the boy let it be. She hated it when she had to argue over who's fault it was. She was as stubborn as a mule when it came to such trivial things. Of course, she snapped back to reality at the sound of a laugh. She flashed him a small smile. Her small facade didn't last for long a someone ran into her shoulder quite harshly. She groaned as she almost turned around to curse the poor fool. Instead, she shook her head as she rubbed her sore shoulder.
"Well it's always good to have something to keep you busy, no matter how some one looks at it." She laughed, he spoke as if he was a bit shy about it. "Ah, basically all genre's. Personally, I'm more of a classical music fan, and I can't stand rap. And I admit that I can be stubborn when it comes to the types of music I listen to." She rolled her eyes at herself, thinking that it sounded a bit stupid, being picky over music of all things. She didn't want to start sounding like a loon so she shut her mouth for a few moments, a small smile on her face.
Ainsley's smile quickly turned into a smirk as he agreed with her. "Not to mention all the same faces." She rolled her eyes, remembering the true reason as to why she had left earlier this morning. Her friends had gotten the best of her, annoying her to no ends. It was either leave pissed, or become a murdered, so she chose the lesser of the two evils.
She noticed him offer his hand, and not quite understanding at first, she finally took it, following him over to the guitarist. She smiled as he put money in his case, but the words are what confused her. She waved him off with her free hand as he apologized. "For what? Being nice?" She let out a dry laugh as she looked at him quizzically. She was trying to figure this kid out but, it was just a bit too early for that. She jumped as he introduced himself. "Ainsley Armani, nice to meet you too." She relied with a laugh, shaking the hand she already had a grasp on with a smile.
